Tikkurila's systems approved according NORSOK standards

Painting systems ensuring long-lasting protection for construction in most demanded off-shore atmospheric.
NORSOK standard M-501 contains
the requirements for the surface preparation, application procedures and
protective coatings regarding so called off-shore structures. The NORSOK
standards are developed by the Norwegian petroleum industry and due to the
implementation of the standards painting costs for repairing have decreased
substantially. The test methods are the most demanding on the market: the test
plates are tested in salt spray and UV light in total 4200 hours according to
ISO 20340. The expected durability of the painting systems fulfilling the
requirements is 20 - 25 years.
